With over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry – though with a six-year gap to pursue creative writing – Laura has had a unique journey to her career. Growing up with a father who didn’t support higher education, she initially dreamed of becoming an artist and attending art school. However, with a desire to support herself and carve her own path, she turned to beauty school, where she discovered her true passion. Laura is particularly drawn to cutting, finding immense satisfaction in the precision and creativity it requires. She views cutting as an art form, loving the ability to transform her clients looks and boost their confidence with a perfectly tailored cut. She also enjoys creating natural-looking color and appreciates the balance of artistry and math that color formulation requires.
Originally from a small, rural area, Laura now calls the city home, where she values the freedom and individuality Accolades offers its stylists. Professionally, Laura aims to grow her business, continue refining her cutting techniques, and further develop her color skills. Personally, she’s focused on managing stress, nurturing friendships, and engaging in spiritual activities.
In her downtime, Laura enjoys drawing, hiking, reading, and, as she humorously puts it, “sitting around.” Describing herself as creative, introspective, and driven, Laura is deeply passionate about her craft and the personal growth it inspires.
